BIOSAMPLERS

With its special design and swirling liquid collection method, the BioSampler® reduces particle bounce, minimizes re-aerosolization, and preserves bioaerosol viability. Use the BioSampler with several different liquids. SKC recommends ViaTrap® mineral oil for consistent collection efficiency over an eight-hour sampling period. The BioSampler works with a sonic flow pump, such as the BioLite+ sample pump. Use BioSampler for IAQ surveys, infection control, biological research and infectious disease surveys and to measure workplace exposure in pulp/paper mills and processing plants. waste.

BIO-IMPACTOR 1 STAGE

The SKC BioStage® Cascade Impactor meets NIOSH requirements and ACGIH® recommendations for indoor and outdoor mold and bacteria sampling.

The BioStage includes an entrance cone, a precision-drilled 400-hole impactor stage, and a base that holds a standard-sized agar plate. A high-flow sampling pump, such as the QuickTake 30, operating at 28.3 L/min, draws microorganisms from the air through holes (jets) where they collect on the agar surface .

AEROSOL BUTTON Sampler

The autoclavable SKC button sampler has a special curved surface inlet with several evenly spaced holes. This unique design allows for superior collection of inhalable particles, including bioaerosols such as bacteria and fungal spores for fine analysis.

Use the button sampler with an AirChek series sampling pump at 4 L/min. The combination of the Button Sampler with a gelatin filter helps maintain the survival of stress-sensitive microorganisms during short sampling periods.

CASSETTE FOR RUGS AND CARPETS

Designed for collecting fungal spores from carpets and other dusty areas, Microvacuum Carpet Sampling Cassettes include a polycarbonate filter preloaded into a 37mm cassette with an attached beveled tube nozzle.

SKC recommends using the QuickTake 30 sample pump at 10 l/min with these cassettes. Vacuum Mat Sampling Cassettes are available separately or in a convenient kit that also includes sampling accessories.

SURFACE SAMPLING KIT

The Sterile Surface Swab Kit determines the relative degree and type of biological contamination in the sampled area. Use this non-destructive method on most surfaces, including irregular surfaces such as return air grilles. The rayon tip is inert and non-toxic and allows good sample recovery and adsorption.

ADHESIVE SAMPLING KIT

Use Stick-to-it tape to sample surfaces for biological contamination. These soft plastic microscopic slides have an adhesive area used for sampling biological and inorganic dust contamination on surfaces. Laboratory analysis indicates the degree of contamination and the type of fungi present.

Stick-to-it Lift Tape is individually serialized for sample identification.

SPORES CASSETTE

VersaTrap® Spore Trap Cassettes capture mold spores and other particles ranging from 1.5 to 3.9 µm on a slide coated with optically clear adhesive. The slide is designed for easy removal and positioning. Samples are well defined and rectangular in shape for accurate analysis using standard equipment.
