Dust tightness tests are carried out on different components to assess the degree of protection against solid agents, evaluating its resistance in the values of 1 to 6, being its IP XY nomenclature (X = from 1 to 6). These values will be made according to the diameter of the particles used during the test. The equipment where these tests are carried out are called dust test chambers.
The samples susceptible to this type of test are: public lighting systems, traffic lights, lighting and signaling elements in automobiles, electrical and electronic elements for acoustic safety or lighting, panels electrical boxes, waterproof electrical boxes, catadioptics, etc.
These chambers are manufactured by Lenpure and maintained by Blanc-Labo.
